About ShareOfAsk
The ShareOfAsk MCP server is a remote, hosted Model Context Protocol server for ShareOfAsk, an AI visibility tracking platform for brands and agencies. ShareOfAsk sends the questions buyers ask to AI assistants, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, and records whether a brand is mentioned, which competitors are named, in what order, and which sources each answer cites. The MCP server lets an AI assistant read that data from a ShareOfAsk workspace: workspaces, the public methodology, competitors, tracked questions, snapshots, metrics (AI Presence, Competitive Share of Voice, Question Coverage and Average First Position), mentions, recorded answers, cited sources, source domains and recommendations. Use it to draft summaries, briefs and client reports grounded in recorded answers. Connect over Streamable HTTP at https://api.shareofask.com/mcp and sign in with OAuth (PKCE and dynamic client registration). Read tools are on by default. Two write tools, for updating a question and a recommendation status, are off by default. Requires a ShareOfAsk account.
