The read-only remote MCP server (no API key) offers 9 tools: search products, get a product, compare products, list certifications, recent signals, spec templates, series, find replacement candidates by spec comparison, and list events. motobase_search_products

Search and filter published motor / smart-motion products (24 per page) by text, category, manufacturer, control protocol, power supply type or certification status. Returns summaries with slugs for motobase_get_product.

motobase_get_product

Get one product: claim-sourced specs (value, unit, source URL, observed date) and publicly verifiable certifications.

motobase_compare_products

Compare 2–6 products side by side: identity rows plus every spec property with its own source.

motobase_list_certifications

List publicly verifiable certifications (Matter/CSA, FCC, ...) filtered by product, manufacturer or standard.

motobase_recent_signals

Most recent human-reviewed industry news and compliance updates.

motobase_get_spec_template

Get the parameter template of a spec category (tubular, curtain, venetian, window_opener, controller, accessory): groups, rows, which rows are required for completeness, compare rules and tolerances.

motobase_get_series

Get one product series: members with lifecycle, variant-axis values (each spec value with its claim id), the axis × axis matrix and verified replacement / successor relations.

motobase_find_replacement

Find replacement candidates for a motor model: resolves the typed model (status resolved / resolved_edition / series_only / ambiguous / not_found), then lists manufacturer-stated replacements and same-series / same-brand candidates with mat

How to connect OpenAxia to Claude, Cursor or VS Code

OpenAxia runs as a hosted remote MCP server at https://openaxia.com/api/mcp. Add that URL to your MCP client's config (Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf or VS Code) and the tools appear immediately, no install required.

Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http openaxia https://openaxia.com/api/mcp. VS Code's .vscode/mcp.json uses a servers key instead of mcpServers (see how). Servers that require OAuth or an API key will prompt on first use.
