About TuskShift pg-migrate

Zero-dependency Node (18+) stdio MCP server, CLI and agent skill that helps Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP client port a Laravel MySQL app to PostgreSQL using rules tested on MariaDB 11.8 and PostgreSQL 17.

Tools:
- check_mysql_schema: schema risk audit (unsigned ranges, tinyint(1), ENUM/SET, TIMESTAMP shifts, zero dates, _ci collations, FULLTEXT, sequences, Laravel migration gotchas)
- lookup_postgres_error: cause and tested fix for Postgres errors Laravel apps hit after the move
- translate_mysql_query: MySQL SQL or fragments to Postgres, with a reason for every change
- convert_mysql_schema: mysqldump / SHOW CREATE TABLE to runnable Postgres DDL (FKs after data load, sequence resets)
- scan_laravel_project: every raw SQL call with file:line and its Postgres version, plus migration/config blockers
- activate_license: unlocks Pro

Free: schema check, error lookup, translation up to 5 statements per call, 2-table DDL preview, scan totals + 3 findings. Pro is $39 one-time (full DDL, full scan, batch translation).

No telemetry: schemas and code stay on your machine; the only network call is a Gumroad license check for Pro.

How to connect TuskShift pg-migrate to Claude, Cursor or VS Code

TuskShift pg-migrate is self-hosted. Install it from the source repository, then register its start command in your MCP client's config (Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf or VS Code).
