About Toadstone

Toadstone is a free, self-hosted SEO crawler with a local MCP server (ten tools, stdio) so Claude Code, Claude Desktop or Cursor can read a crawl, list what is wrong with a site with evidence, and start a crawl. It is read-only by default, only crawls hosts you have already crawled, and caps an agent-started crawl at 2,000 URLs. It needs Toadstone running locally; it is not a hosted endpoint. Source-available under the Elastic License 2.0 (not OSI open source).

How to connect Toadstone to Claude, Cursor or VS Code

Toadstone is self-hosted. Install it from the source repository, then register its start command in your MCP client's config (Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf or VS Code).
