search

Search the directory and return matching listings as id, title, url and placement. Up to two results whose name matches may be paid placements: they come first with placement "sponsored" and sponsorship_label "Sponsored"; every other result

fetch

One listing as Markdown, by the id that search returned: facts, features, integrations, alternatives, FAQ and review summary.

list_categories

Every published software category on MSP Software (PSA, RMM, backup, security and so on), with its published listing count. A product counts in its primary category and in up to two secondary categories.

get_category

One published category: its published products (listed_as "primary" for products filed here first, then "secondary" for products also listed here), the buying guide as prose, the questions MSPs ask and the units prices are quoted per. A for

search_software

Search published software listings by product name, tagline, vendor name, former vendor names, parent company name or vendor domain, optionally filtered to one category slug. Exact name matches rank first; each result says which field match

get_software

One published software listing: facts (pricing, deployment, platforms, support), feature list, integrations, alternatives, FAQ, reported pricing and review summary.

get_reported_pricing

Reported pricing for one listing, aggregated from what other MSPs pay. Never shown below 3 independent reporters, never an individual report. Returns an empty array when fewer than 3 MSPs have reported; that is not "free".

get_alternatives

Other listings in the same category, ranked by feature overlap, review count and completeness. The same ranking, with a feature table, is the page at https://mspsoftware.net/software/{slug}/alternatives.

compare_software

Two listings side by side, with the feature checklist for both and the URL of the comparison page.

recent_updates

The listings updated most recently and the reviews published most recently, newest first.

list_posts

Every published MSP Software blog post, newest first, without the body.

get_post

One published blog post with its body as Markdown.
