The reference web-fetch server from the Model Context Protocol project. Retrieves a URL and returns the content converted to markdown, so agents can read pages without HTML noise. The Bundle ships an equivalent hosted fetch_url tool.

How to connect Fetch to Claude, Cursor or VS Code

Fetch is self-hosted. Install it from the source repository, then register its start command in your MCP client's config (Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf or VS Code).
